Thank goodness the election is over. A few weeks back I started keeping my tv either on the weather channel or HGTV just to escape the political adds. Well, this past weekend they all invaded HGTV. There I sat, paint brush and hammer in hand just waiting for the next step of the project, and BAM! Commercials straight from the pits of hell. "Not HGTV" I cried. I cried so loud, my roomate came running out of his room to see if I was ok. Realizing he had only seen that look on my face once or twice before in his entire life, he simply turned off the tv and went back to his room. I just sat there feeling empty and wounded. I thought to myself, I wouldn't vote for that idiot now even if I was originally planning to. That's right bud, you blew it!
On a more pleasant note, I received my 'end of probation' evaluation. I am happy. Shit, after reading it I immediately went for the letterhead, I mean surely my name was on it somewhere. It just had to be. I didn't find it there, but they must be going to add it. LOL Along with my eval, I recieved my essential employee card and letter. What does that mean? It means no matter what, I have to be there. They tell me that in an emergency, if I get pulled over by the police telling me to get off the road, all I have to do is whip out this letter and my badge, and they will simply send me on my way. My probation is officially over on Friday, the 10th.
I have already put in for a weeks vacation at Christmas. I leave work on the 22nd. not to return until 1/3/07.
Happy Wednesday!

Congratulations on the job, Manny. And that week of holiday is just around the corner. Christmas already...Wow.
Have a great day.
hey good news, thats great ;)
And always great the police, hahaha.
Congratulations on surviving probation and it going well to boot. Gee I want one. Can I get a badge? I have never had a job where I could say or do that. The poo poo would just lock me up.
I am very happy for you Manny.
Congrats on passing probation. I want a badge too!
I’m off over Thanks giving and Christmas.
Winters-Thank you and thank you again. Hey long time no see, I'll try to be better at my visiting.
Mone-Good to see you. I'm just glad it's over.
Barman-Even though it went quick, it felt like forever. That doesn't necessarily mean the Po Po will let me by. I'm hoping they will say something like 'Not today little lady". LOL
Sal-I'll send you mine. LOL My boss is taking Thanksgiving, so I'll have to be there.
Crab makes Thanksgiving easy. All Squirrel and I have to do is show up. Squirrel and I take care of Christmas.
oh shooooot! I just saw... I meant greet the police, greet Manny! hahahaha
The sheer pit of political commercialism in America is absoultely hilarious, at least from the British point of view, where it's still not so big a deal (although give it a term or two, and things will have changed I'm sure...)
I counted 8 political ads during one commercial break. I'm so glad that it's over and I'm (semi) back to work.
Congrats on the no probation thing!
Mone-LMAO It's ok, I figured it out. ah ah
Nodders-I understand what you are saying, but I love my country, even as faulted as other's may see her. She's a beauty.
Signgurl-Were'nt you just sick of it! I know I was.
I see you are back to work. As long as you're ok, just don't over do it.
