I have to admit, the first time this happened, I got a little....concerned.
I mean, when I closed on the house I was here. It was a bonus for me, sitting in my new kitchen closing the deal and all. My realitor and close friend told me...Noone will ever build out there. The city owns it. I didn't quite understand why the city would just be sitting on this lot and not selling it off to developers. that was 11/23/2003.

I moved in on 12/7/2003, just in time for Christmas. YAY! I loved it. The house is plenty big enough for one. I wouldn't want to raise a family here, but who am I kidding? I'm not gonna be raising a famliy and I probably will not ever mayy again. After all, I'm not stupid.
Then came Spring of 2004. Then there was rain. Then there was my pond. I was outside when the storm started. I came inside once the down pour hit. I grabbed a bowl of cereal and stood at my princess doors. they are like french doors, but only one door opens.
There I stood feeling all happy, fullfilled, blessed by God and munching on my most favorite cereal in the world (at that time) when I noticed the field filling up with water. It had only been raining for like an hour. The water was just a rising. OMG! Why? !!!! I just stood there. I grabbed my homeowner's insurance just to verify that I wasn't in a flood zone. Nope! there is was in black and white. This is not a flood zone.
The rain stopped and the pond didn't get any more full. With this laying heavy on my mind I went on to bed. Yes. When it's time for sleep, I sleep. I sleep through almost anything. I woke up the next morning and noticed it was starting to drop. By nightfall it was empty. Turns out, there is a little creek type thing that runs down the back of all the house's on my street. I even went for a walk and followed it. Soon after, I made friends with the neighbor next door. Being in there back yard, ( you can't see it from mine because of a privacy fence, I saw the little stream like thingy.
It turned out to be the coolest thing. The ducks even swim out there. there were duck tonight, but you can't see them in my picture.
Well, looky up there. I've gone and written a book. Are any of you publishers?

Good morning Manny!
What do you guy's think of my pond? Pretty cool isn't it?
g-You are still number 1!
Milky-Hey chickie, good morning to you.
What I think we have here is...a lack of knowledge when it come's to a site meter. A site meter is a cool little gadget. I suggest you go get yourself educated on the subject.
I just LOVE those pics. You seem to be very at peace with yourself Manny, I wished I would be that way. Have a happy weekend :)
Mone-Come on over babe. There is plenty of peace to go around.
I love your pond!!!
I'm drawn to water!
Well if that isn't just ducky!
Hey does it freeze over in the winter? Your own personal ice rink. That's so cool the ducks hang out there.
Nice pics there, Manny.
I'm jealous you got thunder. We didn't get thunder here. Just lots of rain. Enough to give Lucy a multitude of mud puddles to sludge through. Ever tried to clean mud from between the toes of an 88 pound moose while she's kissing your nose?
Hi Manny...
I'm headed to Borders..
I'll be back later OK?

sign-Happy Weekend! I hope you have a great one planned. Thanks baba, I'll give folks one shot at stupid. Hopefully for them, they won't stay stuck there.
jillie-Real ducky. LOL Love the new avatar.
Carb-I got lightening and thunder. I tried to snap the lightening, but just wasn't quick enough. Wait till you hear the stupid thing I did.
G-Bring me some wings. Extra hot and lot's of blue cheese dressing. Yum.
manny..that's bullshit! you don't need to put up with crap from cowardly anon's like that. I agree with g-man, turn the anon off.
If you don't have a sitemeter see if jenn or Bryan can help you, than you can trace the IP of dickwad.
Anyway, that's cool you have your own lake complete with ducks.
In regards to one of your statements..Never say Never manny.
:)
