I'm sitting here, trying to catch up with everyone on blogger. My windows are open and I'm hearing a familiar sound only it wasn't registering. Then, all of the sudden, I realize I'm hearing thunder! Woot.
Of course I grab my trusty old camera and run outside. We're getting a thunderstorm! YAY! My mom always said a thunderstorm brings in Winter and another one brings in the Spring.
I little later I plan on going out back and snipping some of my neighbors Forsythia branches, bringing them inside and forcing them to bloom.

I shut my computer down when there is lightening because last year it knocked my modem and my answering machine out.
I bought a new answering machine last summer, but only recently went to hook it up. Guess what? The box was empty. I paid 30 bucks for that stupid empty box!

What cool pics, Manny. I dont like beeing outside while the storm and thunder and ligthning is going on. I dont know why. Its not that I'm really afraid, its just a kind of uneasy feeling.
That's a good idea to shut the computer down manny. I don't know if you do it but I've heard you should unplug it as well, that's what I've started doing.
Maybe some smart tech head out there can let us know if that's necessary.

You should unplug your computer as well as shutting it down. If it is attached to a modem, you should also unplug the phone line too.
Oh how I miss the thunder storms. They are great for sleeping...

Sign-I'm safe! Last year when lightening got my puter, my dumb ass didn't have it plugged into a suerge protector. I have one now, but I still unplug the darn thing. I unplug everytime I turn it off.
Barman-You understand my love of storms and my need to go storm chasing. I'll marry the man who takes me.
tc-Grace says hello. You know you look like my other kitty that died in 2004. His name was CJ.. Original I know, it's my initials. Poor CJ carried that name with pride.
Jillie-The storm was cool. It settled down, but started back up in the middle of the night. I have pics of my pond (empty field full of water) and will post them tomorrow or Saturday.. It's really cool.
